Wildsmith Model 74 mens rubber-soled Derby shoes in tobacco suede

The Model 74 is an apron front derby, this was an original Wildsmith made-to-order style. The Navvy or Norwegian as they are commonly known was designed for workers who needed water resistant footwear and you see the famous side-stitching on this model. The apron-front derby gained popularity in the 20^th century, lauded as a versatile and visually unique shoe, compared with the plain or toe-cap models of the time. Model 74 was one of the original Wildsmith designs which has been thoroughly re-imagined for todays styling. They have made subtle updates by adding the diamond punching detail within the vamp, added a storm welt for water resistance and, finally, a rubber studded sole for grip and comfort.
